Where Is the Store?
Elkins Store is located at 708 Beverly Pike on Beverly Five Lane, and has been serving a variety of budget-minded customers including families, seniors and college students for nearly a decade.
When Is It open?
Open in September of 2001, Elkins Store moved next door to the existing building and had a grand re-opening in August of 2002. The store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:00am-9:00pm, and Sunday, 11:00am-6:00pm.
Who Works There?
Elkins Store has four full-time and seven part-time employees. Its 10,000-square-foot sales floor is supported by a 3,000-square-foot donation processing room.
How Many Donations?
Donations are accepted in the front door and also at the two large bay doors in the rear of the store. Typically the store averages between 50 to 75 donations a day.
Why Is the Store Successful?
Most customers like the organized and clean store. They also like the wide aisles and the great customer service.

A quaint community of some 7,000 residents, Elkins is located at the heart of West Virginia’s Mountain Highlands, far removed from the hustle and bustle of modern urban society. It is the county seat of Randolph County, home of Davis & Elkins College, and host of the annual Mountain State Forest Festival, one of the largest and oldest festivals in West Virginia.
