About Goodwill's ComputerWorks Store

Our main mission at Goodwill ComputerWorks is to provide you with quality, low-cost repair services and quality refurbished laptops and desktops at an affordable price. Our distinctive store offers a wide variety of products, including low-cost donated desktop computers, laptops, power cords, cables, monitors, hard drives, computer memory, DVD-RW burners, PC cards, expansion cards, $9.00 toner, $3.00 ink and hard to find older computer parts. We also sell donated cell phones, stereo systems, projector systems and gaming systems but we do not service them.

The ComputerWorks store is affiliated with the Goodwill Computer Recycling Center (CRC), which repairs and recycles donated computers and related equipment.

Computers and related items can be donated at any Goodwill store or Attended Donation Center. To learn more about donating your computer to Goodwill, please click here.

What Do We Sell?

We carry Apple MAC G5/Intel based computers, LCD flat screens, laptops, CPUs Intel/AMD, video cards, older software and games.  A Dell/HP desktop system, completely refurbished, for as low as $149.00!  It includes a computer, keyboard, mouse, 90-day warranty, Windows XP Professional and Office Suite (word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations) and is internet ready. Windows 7 and Vista systems are available at competitive prices.

We Offer Computer Service!*

We offer free, five minute system evaluations and diagnostics.  We service any brand of laptops and desktops. Computer repair services begin at $19.99.

  • Free Evaluation: This is where we do our best to determine what has caused your issue and how, and if, it is cost effective to repair your machine.
  • Windows 7 Upgrade: If your computer’s hardware can run Windows 7, we can upgrade it for you. We can determine this for free. We are able to do this because we are Microsoft Registered Refurbishers.
  • Virus Removal: While some shops might use software tools to remove viruses, we do not. It is simply more cost effective to restore the operating system to the way it was when you bought it. In this process your hard drive is completely wiped clean, effectively eliminating the virus. There is no way the virus can return.
  • Laptop Screen Replacement: In some cases we may have the screen in stock. In most cases we will provide you with a 3rd party to purchase your screen. At that point, we will be happy to install it and test it for a flat rate. We can also tell you if it’s even worth investing the money in the unit.
  • Operating System Reinstallation: At some point a virus or other program or unknown event may render your system unusable or slow. Along with this service we run diagnostics on the hardware and test the system.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: We do this when trying to determine the cause and attempt to recreate or fix the problem.
  • Basic Hardware Installation: This can be anything from a graphics card replacement to wireless card installs.

  • Wiping Your Hard Drive: If you wish to donate your computer to Goodwill, we will wipe the hard drive for you and issue a Certificate of Data Destruction. The cost for this service is $20.00 per hard drive. Volume discounts are available.

*Subject to availability. No rainchecks. Prices subject to change without notice. Five minute system evaluation does not guarantee problem resolution. See store for details. HP/Dell/Intel/AMD are registered trademarks of the respective companies.
