What is Goodwill's Drivers Ed program?

Goodwill's Drivers Education program in Fayette County will teach you the skills and knowledge required to pass the PA drivers road test. The program fosters and encourages a life-long commitment to safe driving.

How does the Drivers Ed program work?

Goodwill’s Drivers Education is a state-licensed private school through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The instructor is P.D.E. certified.

Program 1:

One-on-one behind the wheel instruction for a minimum of one hour. 
Cost: $60.00/hour
Available Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and other flexible hours.

Program 2:

Designed for high school students who have completed driving theory and need a minimum of behind-the-wheel instruction for certificate of completion of the comprehensive Driving Course Training Package.
Cost: $225
Available Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and other flexible hours.

Program 3:

Comprehensive driver's training package for potential insurance discounts that includes 36 hours of classroom instruction (theory) and behind the wheel training (includes driver’s testing). 
Cost: $450
Available Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and other flexible hours.

Drivers Testing:

The student uses the Goodwill vehicle to take the drivers test. Scheduling must be coordinated with the Goodwill before scheduling your test at the Department of Motor Vehicles. 
Cost: $60.00
PLEASE NOTE: Students must provide full payment tuition before scheduling an appointment with the DMV to take the driving test (or an authorization from a state agency). Tuition is non-refundable.

Who is elegible for Goodwill's Drivers Ed program?
