The Walmart Foundation is donating $4.16 million to Goodwill Industries International, National Disability Institute and United Way to support the 2013 MyFreeTaxes Partnership to provide free online and in-person state and federal tax preparation and filing services to Americans nationwide as well as Earned Income tax Credit (EITC) elegibility education. The MyFreeTaxes Partnership provides free federal and state tax preparation and filing assistance for qualified individuals; the program is safe, easy and 100% free.

  • Online at, powered by H&R Block®, if you make less than $57,000
  • In Person with an IRS-certified Volunteer Income Tax Preparer, if you make less than $50,000

Step 1:
Visit to get started.

Step 2:
Learn if you're eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and other credits. If it is your first time filing online, use tips and resources in the "Tax Information" section of the MyFreeTaxes website.

Step 3: 
If you earned $57,000 or less in 2012, you can file your federal and state income taxes securely online, for FREE, in less than an hour.
