Rob was struggling when he first came to Goodwill. His criminal record and lack of steady work left him feeling defeated, so he was referred to the HARBOR program. The transitional housing program provided him with a furnished temporary home while he worked to gain employment and stability.
Service coordinators provided job search support services to help Rob get his life back on track. Even after he was matched with a paid position in the housekeeping department at Goodwill, he received ongoing support.
Though he experienced a few obstacles when transitioning to permanent housing, Rob is now living in his own apartment and enjoys using the skills he learned at Goodwill in his part-time job. He proudly supports himself without additional assistance.
