What is Career Services Online?

Looking for a new job but unsure of where to start? Goodwill’s Career Services offers a wide selection of virtual services to help job-seekers build the necessary skills crucial to achieving their career goals.

Goodwill’s online Career Services offers live webinars and self-directed workshops created by Career Services staff. A full calendar of events and webinar registration can be found here

The following 45-minute live webinars are FREE and available to all job-seekers:

  • Intro to Career Services
    Discover the individualized services available to job-seekers and how to prepare for your job search. Gain access to the Career Services’ Google Classroom for even more job-seeker resources.
  • Searching for a Job Online
    Learn how to safely navigate your job search online and create a strategy that’s unique to your needs and interests. Review the types of information contained in job postings and how to highlight transferable skills for whenever you’re ready to apply.
  • Writing a Resume
    Get employers to notice you with tips and tricks offered in this session. Create a resume that emphasizes your value and tailor your experiences to highlight desirable skills in your industry.
  • Interviewing 101
    Learn how to market yourself to a potential employer by developing an elevator speech and telling an engaging story through careful preparation and practice. Identify common themes in behavioral interviewing and learn why you should always have questions for your interviewers.
  • Virtual Meeting Etiquette
    It can be difficult to connect with a potential employer through video conferencing, but it doesn’t have to be. Learn tips and etiquette for virtual interviews or meetings and how to handle the most common types of technical difficulties.
