PITTSBURGH, February 16, 2015 – The Board of Directors of Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania recently elected new officers and three new directors.

Frank Hammond, First Vice President, Community Reinvestment Act Officer at BNY Mellon was elected Chairperson of the Board. A member of Goodwill’s board since 2008, Mr. Hammond also serves on the boards of NeighborWorks Western Pennsylvania and BNY Mellon Foundation of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and is board member emeritus at Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh.  He is a resident of Pine Township.

Also elected were: Shawn Hanlon, Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Vice Chairperson; John Kraus, President, Liquid Capital of Western Pennsylvania, Secretary; Robert Tiskus, Senior Vice President, Fifth Third Bank, Treasurer; and Yvonne Campos, CEO and Founder, Campos Research Strategy, who will serve as Immediate Past Chairperson.

Newly elected directors are Raymond Amelio, Karen Priore, and Jason Sigal.

Raymond Amelio is recently retired from Fragasso Financial Advisors and is currently the owner of People Count . . . the Most!, a consulting company that specializes in management and employee development and client relations. He graduated from Duquesne University with a bachelor of arts in Political Science, and received his master’s degree in Human Resources Management from La Roche College.  Mr. Amelio lives in Franklin Park and is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Pittsburgh.

Karen Priore, SPHR, is Director of Human Resources at Giant Eagle, Inc., where she has been a team member for over 30 years. She also serves as a member of the Society for Human Resource Management; the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association; the Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities; and the Professional Advisory Committee for Project Freedom.  She is also a Wellness Champion for Giant Eagle’s Health and Wellness initiative and sits on Giant Eagle’s Women’s Business Resource Group, serving as a Co-Chair for community outreach.  Ms. Priore, who lives in Pittsburgh, graduated from Geneva College with a bachelor of science degree in Human Resources. 

Jason Sigal, LEED AP, is Preconstruction Manager at RYCON Construction, Inc. Previously he served on the board of directors for YouthWorks and as a volunteer for Junior Achievement.  Currently he serves on the Master Builder’s Association Young Constructor Committee, which focuses on education in the construction industry. A resident of Penn Hills, Mr. Sigal has a bachelor of science in Business Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

It serves all of southwestern Pennsylvania and manages several affiliate units and special-purpose entities, including Goodwill of Fayette County; Goodwill of North Central West Virginia; Goodwill Commercial Services, Inc.; and Goodwill Housing.
