On Wednesday, July 8, the Goodwill “Pop-Up” Outlet Store in Monroeville will be the location for Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s first ever “Ultimate Outlet Warehouse Sale.” The sale will run from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Goodwill’s Pop-Up Outlet located at 680 Old William Penn Hwy, Monroeville, PA 15146.
“We are very grateful that Goodwill donors have been extremely generous during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Andrew Marano, Vice President of Donated Goods Retail at Goodwill SWPA. “Their support is why we can offer this opportunity to do something a little bit differently for anyone who truly appreciates finding the vintage and brand name treasures that outlet shopping allows.”
During the sale, outlet shoppers will be able to fill a Goodwill bag (approximate size is 10 gallons) for $10, an entire shopping cart for $20, or an entire gaylord sized box for $40 (a gaylord box is approximately 41 by 33 inches wide and 31 inches high). Housewares, clothing, electronics and accessories are all included as part of the sale, but furniture is not. Merchandise for sale will be refreshed every hour, starting at 8:30 a.m. Approximately 300 gaylords of material will be available for sale to shoppers.
For the safety of everyone, shoppers must wear masks to enter the sale, and merchandise will be appropriately spaced to encourage safe social distancing. An enhanced cleaning schedule is already in place at all Goodwill stores and outlets and a self-serve cart sanitation station will be offered for shoppers wanting to wipe down carts.
