Individuals who are looking for jobs working with people with disabilities are encouraged to attend a special Community Support Specialist Hiring event on Wednesday, August 2. The event will be held at Goodwill’s Workforce Development Center, 118 52nd Street in Lawrenceville. Free onsite parking is available.
From 9am until 2pm, individuals who attend the hiring event can learn about the benefits of working at Goodwill and connect with staff and hiring managers. Those who apply online beforehand will be eligible for an on-site interview during the event.
Goodwill is currently hiring numerous part-time community support specialists to work with small groups of people with disabilities. Community Support Specialists will accompany groups to places like the zoo, museums and libraries to provide participants with meaningful community participation and increased independence. Opportunities are available to work with both older and younger adults. Position benefits include part-time hours, optional dental/vision insurance, daylight hours, and no weekend hours.
Those seeking Community Support Specialist positions will need a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and Act 33/34 Security Clearances.Individuals attending the Hiring Event are encouraged to bring current clearances with them.
