MORGANTOWN, WV, February 11, 2015 – An open house and dedication will be held on Tuesday, February 24 to rename the Goodwill of North Central West Virginia’s human services building the Michael A. Oliverio Workforce Development Center.
Mr. Oliverio was long-time Chair of Goodwill NCWV’s advisory board and was instrumental in the start and development of the Goodwill movement in north central West Virginia. He was also very active in the Goodwill movement nationally, serving on various committees for Goodwill Industries International.
Mr. Oliverio passed away on February 5, 2014.
The open house will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m., giving guests the opportunity to learn about the programs and services offered by Goodwill NCWV. The building dedication ceremony will begin at 4 p.m.
The Workforce Development Center, which is located at 1954 Hunters Way in Morgantown, provides employment services for persons with disabilities and specialized services for employers looking for individuals to meet their needs. This includes a wide range of vocational services for West Virginia residents.
A plaque will be placed on the center that recognizes Mr. Oliverio’s dedicated service and leadership to Goodwill of North Central West Virginia.
