A ground-breaking ceremony, scheduled for Friday, July 22, will mark the start of construction of the new Westover Goodwill store, located at 727 Fairmont Road, Westover, WV 26501. Participating in the 10:00 a.m. event will be Carol Peyton, developer of the new store, along with local officials and Goodwill representatives.
The new store is expected to open in the first quarter of 2017. It will be the sixth Goodwill store in West Virginia operated by Goodwill of North Central West Virginia, an affiliate unit of Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and will bring the total number of stores operated by Goodwill SWPA to 32.
The 13,750-square-foot Westover store will have about 7,100 square feet of sales floor space and will feature a convenient drive-through, canopy-covered donation drop-off center. It will employ 15 to 20 people.
“We are very excited to break ground on this new Goodwill store in Westover,” said Mike Smith, President/CEO of Goodwill SWPA. “It will be a modern, energy efficient facility that offers a great shopping atmosphere for our customers to enjoy. Good clothes and good prices for a good cause – that’s what you’ll find at today’s Goodwill.”
