“We are so pleased to have this new store in Salem Township and be a part of the Delmont Shops and Walmart Shopping Center in Westmoreland County!” said Andrew Marano, Vice President of Donated Goods Retail at Goodwill SWPA. “This store was constructed with our unique operations in mind. The production and donation areas are designed for efficiency, while the store is wide open and very green. Most of all, each of our new and remodeled stores are designed to provide customers and donors with the very best Goodwill experience possible,” Mr. Marano said.
The store is 13,000 square feet, including 8,000 square feet of sales floor. 20 jobs have been created at the store. Those donating items at the new store will be able to utilize a contact-free donation located right at the front of the store.
Donations to Goodwill are sold in local stores to provide funding for Goodwill’s job training and education programs. Donating to Goodwill SWPA is also good for the environment helping to keep over 15 million pounds of material out of landfills annually.
Martin Perry of Newmark advises Goodwill SWPA on their retail plans and represented Goodwill on the lease of the store.
