What is a School-Based Career Assessment?
Schools must provide a quiet, well-lit space (minimum of 10 ft. of open space and a space large enough for a table and two chairs, which face each other across the table).
- Each student spends approximately one day of one-on-one assessment time with the evaluator.
- The McCarron-Dial System is utilized to determine the overall functioning level of the student; however, students also have the opportunity to utilize a variety of additional work samples.
- A written report will be provided with recommendations to assist in the student’s preparation and transition to work.
