PITTSBURGH, September 23, 2021 – Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is currently recruiting for their EARN and Work Ready programs, designed to help people receiving SNAP and TANF benefits achieve their education and employment goals. Program sites are located at Goodwill’s Workforce Development Center in Lawrenceville, and Goodwill’s Northside Common Ministries facility on Brighton Road.
“We help people find satisfying, long-term careers with higher earning potentials,” said Talise Hill, Interim Assistant Director of Adult Workforce Programs at Goodwill SWPA. “Our EARN and Work Ready programs offer free services with flexible schedules and both virtual or in-person options.”
EARN and Work Ready offer childcare and transportation assistance, education and job training, counseling services, hiring events and job leads, paid work experience, and job retention support. The programs also offer personalized focus and incentives, free GED, ABE and computer classes, and priority employment candidacy within Goodwill. Additionally, program participants can also earn up to $2,700 in incentives before, during, and after job placement.
