What is Ticket to Work?

Ticket to Work is a Social Security work incentive program aimed at helping individuals with disabilities get back to work.

How does Ticket to Work work?

Goodwill's Ticket to Work program offers individuals the opportunity to work one-on-one with employment networks:

  • Set employment goals
  • Create an Individualized Work Plan to reach employment goals
  • Resume building
  • Job placement assistance
  • Advocate for you in meeting your disability needs with your employer

Who is eligible for Ticket to Work?

Goodwill’s Ticket to Work Program serves individuals with disabilities from eight counties in southwestern Pennsylvania (Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland) and nine counties in north central West Virginia (Barbour, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Randolph, Taylor and Upshur) who desire to get back to work and ultimately become financially independent.

Four Qualifications:

  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 64
  • Must be Medically Disabled as per Social Security and have received a Ticket
  • Must be willing and able to work at least 25 hours per week
  • Must be in Current Pay Status with Social Security

Service Availability:

Ticket to Work is an appointment-based program dependent on the participant’s availability.
