An affiliate of Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania, Goodwill of North Central West Virginia serves nine counties in West Virginia (Barbour, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Randolph, Taylor and Upshur).
Our Michael A. Oliverio Workforce Development Center is attached to the Morgantown Goodwill Store at 1954 Hunters Way, Morgantown, WV 26505. We provide vocational training and assessment; job try-outs; and we assist with job finding and provide supports once a person is employed.
Services for People with Disabilities:
Community-Based Work Assessments
Goodwill provides opportunities for people with disabilities to explore different jobs in the community so that they can make informed decisions when making career goals.
Job Placement
We help people with disabilities find a place where they would like to work. We then help them with the application and interview process to obtain the job of their choice.
Job Coaching
We teach the skills needed to learn a new job and meet the demands of the workplace.
Follow Along Support
We provide assistance and on-going support as needed to help the individual meet the needs of his or her new job.
Services for Employers
Recruitment
Goodwill helps employers find the right match to fill employment needs.
On-the-Job Training
Once an employer hires an individual referred by Goodwill, we then either provide or assist in training the new hire to perform tasks to the employer’s specifications, and to learn the interpersonal skills necessary to be accepted as a worker on the job site.
On-going Support
We provide interventions to assure the employee continues to meet the demands of the workplace.
