Donate Goods
Donations to Goodwill help to provide employment and training services to individuals with employment barriers. Donations of material goods are essential to Goodwill's success and our ability to help others because they become merchandise in Goodwill stores. When those items are purchased, the revenue Goodwill receives helps to support our wide range of employment and training services.
Donating clothing and household items to Goodwill benefits the donor as well. Those who itemize their tax return can claim a deduction on the fair-market value of the donation. Donating to Goodwill also helps the environment. Items that might otherwise end up in landfills are recycled, either by being sold in Goodwill stores or, in cases of low-quality or unsellable items, by being sold to textile salvage and recycled product companies.
Goodwill also welcomes large volume corporate and commercial donations such as returns, discontinued styles, end-of-season merchandise, overstocks, open packages or boxes, carryovers, one of a kind, display models, office furniture and equipment, hotel room furnishings, restaurant equipment, etc. Goodwill can perform pick-ups of residential and/or commercial donations for donors who have at least three rooms full of furniture or other items to donate. If you have three rooms or more to donate, please call the North Huntingdon Distribution Center at 1-877-392-8882.

What Happens to Your Donations
Your support for Goodwill - whether in the form of donated clothing or vehicles, or financial contributions or volunteer service - helps us increase employment training and support opportunities for people with special needs. Revenues from Goodwill retail stores and other sources go directly to job-training services and equipment needed by people with disabilities and disadvantages. Your efforts matter tremendously because having a job enables people with special needs to gain the self-esteem and self-respect that only comes with a paycheck. With your help, Goodwill clients get a chance - not charity.
