Our vision is to be the region’s premier human service organization offering exceptional services. We will be satisfied only when all persons have the opportunity to achieve success in their pursuit of meaningful work or other quality of life experiences.

Our plans for the future

For decades, Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania has employed a formal strategic planning process aimed at achieving our vision of being the region’s premier human service organization offering exceptional services with tangible outcomes. We will be satisfied only when all persons have the opportunity to achieve success in their pursuit of meaningful work or other quality of life experiences and our strategic planning process is a guiding force in realizing our vision.

Our strategic plan for 2023 is focused upon building the organization’s infrastructure so that we can continue to grow, innovate and transform. It will enable our organization to maintain its position as a recognized leader in workforce development while offering support to other community partners committed to diversity and sustainability.

Our 2023 Strategic Plan Goals include:

Goal 1

Building management capacity to support growth – including execution of our leadership transitional plan, enhancing talent attraction strategies, and cultivating a healthy human service division.

Goal 2

Investing in technology, systems, and processes – including optimization of Human Resources technology systems, maximizing Information Technology infrastructure, and strengthening financial strategy.

Goal 3

Fully Integrating mission through Human Services and Business Enterprises – including fostering a “One Goodwill” culture, implementing a donation acquisition growth strategy and plan, and increasing and promoting available services, resources and supports to all Goodwill Team Members.
