Recently, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs amended Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Federal contractors and subcontractors are now required to take measurable action toward employing individuals with disabilities. Some employers who hold federal contracts may find it difficult to navigate through the details of the legislation and understand how the requirements affect them.
