ESL Classes

We are now enrolling new students! To begin this process, please fill out the form below or contact Goodwill’s Welcome Center at 1-877-499-3526.

Goodwill’s free English classes are open to ALL levels of English speakers living in Allegheny County. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced English classes. New students will take a short test in order to determine which class is the best fit. We offer both online and in-person classes.

Classes include:

  • Listening: Practice listening and understanding English.
  • Speaking: Increase vocabulary and use English in sentences.
  • Reading: Learn to read in English and improve comprehension & fluency.
  • Writing: Put it down on paper: writing, spelling, grammar.
  • Pronunciation: Practice, practice, practice!

Our staff can help determine which level class is best for you.

In-person classes

Online classes

Our online classes are offered every weekday at 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.
