Goodwill is offering a hands-on Direct Care Employment Training program designed to prepare participants for careers in personal and direct care services. Participants will build the workplace and customer service skills needed to succeed in direct care roles, with training focused on empathetic care, communication, conflict resolution, and real-world workplace situations. Developed in partnership with local direct care employers, this program connects graduates with employers committed to providing quality employment experiences and opportunities for growth.

Who is eligible?
Participants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Be able to pass required background checks
- Be interested in working in Allegheny County
Program Schedule
Training takes place in person at the Goodwill Southside Opportunity Center and is held Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 2 PM. Classes will be offered twice each month through the end of October, giving participants multiple opportunities to enroll.
